In The Name of Allah
I must confess that the processes of successfully modding a java/s40 appis quite taxing as one have to switch from one modding appto another — you extract with an app, edit MANIFEST.MF with another, edit the class files with another still, edit the icons/images with yet another before finally packing. Very irksome!
Hey! I stumbled on an app that can fix all these without any stress. It's a pys60app called JarEditor.
Detailed Features of JarEditor
Basically, you can pack, unpack, edit class, text & MF files, edit icons, install and uninstall java apps with JarEditor. Here is a menu-by-menu analysis of the app.
1. Bash JARThe selection of the menu brings up all the .jar files in E:\JAR Editor\File\. You can choose to install, send, view, extract, rename and delete any of the selected .jar file.
2. Create JARThis calls up the list of previously unpacked java apps. You choose to create (pack), rename, or delete the selected unpacked app. By selecting "View" in the sub-menu, you can view and edit the properties of MANIFEST.MF, class files and icon.
3. View JARWhen this menu is selected, it calls up a file manager to select a .jar file of your choice. You can mark and extract the files in the .jar app.
4. Install or Remove JARAs the name implies, you can easily install or uninstall any java app of your choice.
5. Send JARAlso calls up a manager to select a .jar file for sending via bluetooth.
6. Edit filesThis is the last menu, it embodies a mf editor, txt editor, icon editor and icon menu. Just select any one of your choice and navigate to the desired file and carry out the editing process.
For the icon editor you can tweak the icon name, png quality, bit quality, and size.
I don't think you will encounter any problem whilst using the app because it's very user friendly. What have you got to say about this app?
